About
Everyone is fighting their own battle. Our mission is to help you win yours.
At Fighting Club Luxembourg, we believe that the toughest battles don't always take place in a ring.
They can be a lack of self-confidence, a difficult period in life, the need to find balance again, overcome fears, manage stress, improve health, support a child’s development, or simply take back control of one's life.
More than an MMA club, Fighting Club Luxembourg is a place where every individual is welcomed as they are. Our approach is deeply people-focused. We don't just help people improve their physical abilities or athletic performance; we support their personal, physical, and mental growth, taking into account their background, goals, challenges, and individual pace.
We believe that meaningful support always begins with listening, understanding, and trust. This philosophy shapes everything we do, whether we are working with children or adults, beginners or competitors, seasoned athletes or people who never imagined stepping into a combat sports gym.
Combat sports are our tool. Helping people grow is our true expertise.
Our Philosophy
Everyone who walks through the doors of Fighting Club Luxembourg is already facing a challenge of their own. Some are looking to rebuild confidence. Others want to push beyond their limits, regain balance, move forward after a difficult period, or simply invest in their wellbeing.
Our role is not to fight those battles for you. Our role is to provide the tools, guidance, confidence, and environment that allow you to face them yourself.
We believe that sport is a powerful vehicle for health, personal growth, inclusion, and prevention. When practised in a supportive, respectful, and demanding environment, it becomes a catalyst for lasting change.
Our ambition, and our greatest reward, is helping people unlock their full potential.
Two Areas of Expertise. One Shared Vision.
Mourad Serrar – Head Coach & Human Development Coach
With more than 30 years of training experience and over 20 years as a coach, Mourad specialises in MMA, Luta Livre, Grappling, Sambo, Wrestling, Muay Thai, Boxing, and Kickboxing.
Beyond his technical expertise, Mourad is known for his ability to bring out the best in people. His coaching goes far beyond physical performance. He helps individuals develop discipline, confidence, resilience, emotional control, perseverance, and teamwork.
Mourad is direct, honest, and deeply committed to the people he coaches. He won't simply tell you what you want to hear; he'll tell you what you need to hear. He challenges limiting beliefs, comfort zones, and self-imposed barriers because he genuinely believes that most people are capable of far more than they realise.
Every coaching journey is tailored to the individual. Whether working with a child discovering sport for the first time, an adult looking to become more active, or an athlete pursuing performance goals, Mourad adapts his approach to each person's needs, abilities, and ambitions.
Sophie Cumani – Coach, Consultant & Personal Development Specialist
After more than twenty-two years working in investment funds, management, governance, and organisational development, Sophie chose to dedicate her experience to supporting people and their growth.
At Fighting Club Luxembourg, she works primarily with children aged four and above, teenagers, and their families.
Specialising in child and adolescent development, Sophie uses combat sports as a powerful educational tool. Through practice, she helps young people build confidence, independence, focus, emotional regulation, social skills, respect for others, and the ability to face everyday challenges.
She also has extensive experience supporting children with specific needs, including ADHD, autism spectrum conditions, and other neurodivergent profiles. Her personalised approach takes into account each child's cognitive, emotional, and sensory needs, helping them thrive in a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment.
Alongside her coaching work, Sophie is currently completing a certification in sports nutrition for combat sports, adding another layer to her holistic approach to health, wellbeing, and performance.

Golux tried for you
The whole GoLux team visited Fighting Club Luxembourg in Windhof. We all went because we felt it was important to discover together how a sport that can sometimes be surrounded by preconceptions can be experienced through different perspectives and sensitivities.
We took part in the Bag Class.
Fighting Club Luxembourg is, first and foremost, embodied by Sophie and Mourad. Even before our trial session, we spent several hours talking with them, going far beyond the world of combat sports. Through the stories of their community, they shared their vision of a discipline they see above all as a form of health and prevention. As they put it so aptly, behind the desire to practise a combat sport, there is always a personal battle.
Here, everyone arrives with their own story and personal journey. Their approach is to understand the person before the athlete, helping them develop their physical abilities while also, often more discreetly, supporting their mental wellbeing.
The session was intense, demanding and incredibly unifying. We were struck by Mourad's energy, but also by the diversity of the group. Alongside experienced practitioners were beginners, people from all walks of life, and even a participant over 60. A small detail that says a lot about this place and challenges some common preconceptions.
The group welcomed us immediately and encouraged us throughout the session. Within minutes, we truly understood the importance of the sense of community that Sophie and Mourad care so deeply about. We were simply brought together by the same goal: to push ourselves further, together.
Bonus: we also had the opportunity to watch a session led by Sophie and two of her teenage students for children aged 4 to 6 — with all the diversity and individuality that you find among children too. Through play, they develop coordination, learn rules, respect for others and the importance of being part of a group.
More than the MMA itself, it was the values being passed on that really touched us. It was beautiful to watch.
